Payroll Administrator
As we all know, Accounting has many different jobs that a person can specialize in. Another job I found and wanted to know a little bit more about is a payroll administrator. A payroll administrator is someone who specializes in documenting and preparing biweekly payroll of all employees in a company. They also review and enforce the accuracy of time-sheets. They are responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow in a company.
In order to succeed as a payroll administrator, you need to have an Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance or have an Accounting Degree. Must have experience in payroll functions. Also, you should be familiar with using Microsoft Office and internet browsers. You should be able to handle multitasking and understanding the flow of transactions. A Payroll Administrator's annual salary is between $24,000 and $58,000.
Here is a blog about Integrated Payroll Services. It talks about different things dealing with payroll and how to properly set up and complete payroll documents.
